ECOWAS Renewable Energy Facility for Peri-urban and Rural Areas - Second Call for Proposals

The ECOWAS Renewable Energy Facility (EREF) is a grant facility managed by ECREEE which provides grant co-funding for small to medium sized renewable energy and energy efficiency (RE&EE) projects and businesses in rural and peri-urban areas.
Following the successful implementation of the First Call for Proposals from 2011 to 2014, under which 41 projects were approved and awarded a grant, ECREEE has launched the Second Call for Proposals. It aims to support the installation of renewable energy powered mini-grids and the establishment of an appropriate management, operation and maintenance system. The overall amount made available under this call is EUR 1,000,000.

Relevant information, including the EREF II Guidelines and the Project Proposal Template can be found by following the link below for interested candidates. The deadline for submission of proposals is 10 August 2014, 22:00 UTC -1.

The EREF Second Call for Proposals is supported by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management (BMLFUW), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID) and the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
