The Off-Grid Experts Awards 2015 are looking for companies, institutions and individuals that have set inspiring examples in driving forward the energy revolution with off-grid power based on renewable energies or made sustainable experiences in the field of energy independence. The deadline for submissions is May 30 The Off-Grid Experts Awards integrate four different categories to draw a comprehensive picture of energy independence: Category A "Product" searches innovative technical solutions that improve or facilitate off-grid power supply. Category B "Project" award projects or initiatives in the field of rural electrification, solar water supply or industrial applications. The category C "Picture" is a contest for photos that reflect the key word "Energy Independence" from every possible field of vision, and the Category D "Filmlet" honours both documentary filmlets illustrating the development of energy projects and initiatives as well as abstract movies touching the topic "Energy Independence" indirectly. The board members of the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) support the Off-Grid Experts Awards as a jury for the categories A and B. The Alliance for Rural Electrification is an international business association focusing on the promotion and the development of Off-Grid renewable energy solutions for rural electrification in developing countries.The best picture and filmlet will be selected via a public online voting. Applications can be sent via the website www.off-grid-experts.com. Deadline for submissions in category A and B is May 30th, 2015, for category C and D it is June 30th, 2015.
